Using Footpath
- The facility of footpath should be used if available.
- If there is no footpath, always walk on the right side of the road so that you can see the traffic coming from opposite side.
Keep in mind to:
- Walk in single file and keep close to the right side of the road;
- Keep the children to the extreme right.
Crossing the Road
- The facility of zebra crossing, overhead bridge or underpass should be used wherever it is available.
- If there is no facility available for road crossing then first of all see to your right hand side and then to your left-hand side, when both sides are clear then go straight across the road.
- Be vigilant while crossing. If the traffic appears suddenly, do not run.
- Where there are pedestrian safety barriers, cross the road only at the gaps provided for pedestrians. Do not climb up the barriers.
